Murals of the Mission:
The mission district in San Francisco is famous for featuring almost 600 murals. Early in the 1970's, community members in the Mission began

and help voice an everlasting message from the movements that inspired them. A high concentration of murals can be viewed on Balmy Alley, just off of 24th Street.
